G arden City exists for one reason — to help people meet Jesus and follow Him for the rest of their lives. We're not a perfect church, and we're not pretending to be. We're a family of imperfect people who've encountered a perfect Savior, and we're better together.

Our doors are wide and our table is long. Whether you grew up in church or you wouldn't be caught dead in one, you'll find that we mean it when we say: you belong here.

oUR STORY

From a living room to a city.

1998

The First Living Room

Twelve friends gathered weekly in a rented apartment to study Scripture, pray, and dream about what God might do.

2001

First Public Service

A rented school gymnasium, 47 folding chairs, one guitar, and a vision bigger than the room.

2009

Garden Way Campus Opens

After years of saving and faithful giving, we moved into the property that still calls us home today.

2016

Mission Beyond Our Walls

Launched our first international missions partnership and planted two daughter churches in neighboring cities.

Now

And Today —

Two thousand families. Twelve ministries. One unchanging mission: connecting people to the heart of the Father.

The Bible

We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired, infallible Word of God — our final authority for faith and practice.

God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — perfect in love, holy in nature, and active in our world.

Jesus Christ

Fully God and fully human. Born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on a cross for the sins of the world, rose bodily from the grave, and is coming again.

The Holy Spirit

The Spirit indwells every believer, empowers us for life and ministry, and produces the fruit of Christ-like character in those who walk with Him.

Salvation

The local church is God's chosen vehicle to display His glory and carry His mission. We're called to gather, grow, give, and go — together.

Eternity

There is a real heaven and a real hell. Jesus is coming back, history is heading somewhere, and how we live now matters forever.

Lead Pastor

David Reyes

Senior Pastor · Est. 1998

David founded Garden City in 1998 with his wife Maria and a small group of friends who wanted to see their city changed by the love of Jesus. Twenty-eight years later, he's still preaching nearly every Sunday, still discipling young leaders, and still convinced that the local church is the hope of the world.

He holds an M.Div from Fuller Seminary and has authored three books on prayer and pastoral leadership. David and Maria have four kids and one very loud golden retriever named Wesley.

My job isn't to make Garden City impressive. My job is to make Jesus unmistakable.
